Newcastle Medicals Badminton Club

The Newcastle Medicals Badminton Club has been running since 1997. Although initially only students were allowed to play, in 2000 the club was opened to everyone when it relocated from Newcastle University's Claremont Sports Hall to the Westgate Centre for Sport.

At Westgate the Medicals club was able to grow and now we have four teams competing in the local badminton league: a ladies' team in Division A, two men's teams in Divisions B and C and a mixed team in Division D.

Newcastle Medicals remains open to everybody throughout the year providing plenty of fun and as much or as little competition as is desired.

We are looking forward to the 2006-2007 season and trying out the new scroring system in competition. The club will remain open to everyone all year round.
