Season 2008-09
29 August 2008
The 2008-09 Northumberland badminton season will start with the AGM on 7th September followed by the Leagues Fixtures meeting. We expect matches to start in late September or early October. If you want to play for one of our teams (men's, ladies or mixed) start getting ready. Our team selectors his year are Matt, Alex O'Neil and Liz so make sure they know you want to compete.
Smash training starting
29 August 2008
The next series of training sessions will be all about practicing the smash and they start on Tueday 02/09/2008. They ware aimed at beginners and improvers. Ideally come along with a partner and please get in touch with Boj (boj@newcastlebadminton.com).
Changes in Sunday session
19 August 2008
From and including 07/09/08 the Sunday session will be for 3 hours instead of 3 and a half. Start time at present will still be 1pm.

Short session

Our badminton session on Thursday 21/08/08 will be from 8pm to 10pm instead of 7pm to 10pm. This is due to a mistake of some kind by the Centre for Sport.

Tuesday Training plans online

Hi everyone, you can now see the Tuesdays Training plans in the Coaching section of our website (/Coaching/Courses). The current training theme is Court Movement and it will run for until 26th August 2008. New training plans will be added each week.
Cancellation of session

Hi everyone, there will be no session on Sunday 27/07/08. This is due to the centre being used for another activity.
Anyone interested in going ice skating at Whitley Bay ice rink on 27/07/08 instead, please contact June. Cost would be £6.50 including skate hire plus transport fares.
However, Tuesday training is on as usual (click here to find out more).
